GERALDINE WATTS,
Sir, - It was with curiosity, followed by despair, that I read Eoin Neeson's answer (Opinion, March 21st) to Wesley Boyd's article of March 13th. Despair won when I read that the writer was a former director of the Government Information Bureau.
Could it be an elaborate hoax? His condescending, patronising attitudes to Wesley Boyd, to the Reform Movement, to all who do not share his opinions, with their "ill-thought-through" sentiments and unreasonable arguments based on "simple ignorance" must cause Northern Protestants to wonder how their traditions would be regarded in a united Ireland. If attitudes like his are widespread, and I hope they are not, David Trimble's point is made. - Yours , etc.,
