Two-tier pay far from eliminated

Sir, – Further to the headline “Teachers and gardaí to co-operate with reforms to end two-tier pay” (September 27th), while the new deal is a step toward parity, post-2011 entrants are still on a different, lower, pay scale to their colleagues.

Two-tier pay has not been eliminated. – Yours, etc,
