Sir, - I find the actions of the Protestants who have renewed their protests at Holy Cross Primary School utterly objectionable, but I am also disturbed by the fact that parents should be putting their children through such an ordeal.
A situation where dozens of petrified, bawling children are being dragged by their parents into such an upsetting and potentially dangerous environment is nothing short of reckless. Regardless of how keen the loyalist and republican protagonists in this affair are to see it escalate, it is appalling to see parents allowing their children to be used as pawns in such an escalation.
How can parents who genuinely cares about the education of their children be willing to have them exposed to such sectarian hatred at four years of age? What hope then for the future? - Yours, etc.,
