Sir, - Delia Gallagher (May 25th) might be interested in the fact that the origins of Urney were commemorated in a promotional ballad "The Legend of the Urney Leprechaun" which began "On the banks of the Finn in the County Tyrone . . ." This ditty, dating from 1953-4 and for which I have to admit responsibility, was subsequently transmogrified into Ireland's first full-colour commercial cartoon film, shown in cinemas nationwide and the winner of several international awards. It was the work of Neil O'Kennedy, whom older readers of The Irish Times will remember as the perpetrator of the brilliantly witty and apposite "By-Line" cartoons of the 1950s and 1960s. The creator of the original Urney slogan, "Any Time is Urney Time" was, for the record, Pat O'Rorke of the O'Kennedy-Brindley advertising agency. - Yours, etc. Bernard Share,
