Sir, - We're told by those who know that we should rip out the inside of our churches in order to comply with the liturgical requirements of Vatican II. A friend who conducts her local parish choir tells me the parish priest would not let her do four part harmony singing on the grounds that it contravenes Vatican II. In my own parish we were led to believe that we could not have Latin because Vatican II does not allow it.
On my last visit to Rome, I could not help but notice that the services in St Peter's are remarkably unobservant of these requirements. Can someone tell me how the Pope gets away with this? - Yours, etc.,
