Verbs that should be banned

Sir, – The response from our politicians to the current Anglo revelations must lead to the banning, or at the very least, the banking of certain verbs: shocked, appalled, disgusted, outraged, angered, sickened, surprised, investigated, examined, regulated and inquired. Some verbs that should not be banned are sacked, punished and imprisoned. – Yours, etc,
