Sir, – I find it quite amazing that with all the discussion of voting rights for Irish citizens living abroad, there is no discussion of the continuing disenfranchisement of Irish citizens resident in Ireland who just happen to be travelling or otherwise engaged on the day of the election. Almost every other western country has a system of pre-poll or absentee voting. It is an absolute disgrace that this has yet to be introduced here. – Yours, etc,
