Sir, - This week my wife went to the casualty department of St Vincent's Hospital. Although she was told it would not take long, she waited five-and-a-half hours to have her hand x-rayed and treated. The cafeteria was closed. The coffee machine was out of order.
Nobody explained why there was such a delay. Nobody apologised.
What amazes me is that we have a Minister for Health who presides over this inhumane, inefficient and distressing system. - Yours, etc.,
