Sir, - Fintan O'Toole (July 31st) is unsurprisingly scathing about reality TV, and last Friday's Big Brother finale. Can we assume that his admirably detailed knowledge of what went on in the house over the past few weeks was obtained by talking to people who were stupid enough to watch it? Or is it possible that Mr O'Toole, despite his disapproval, deigned to watch it himself for the purposes of research? - Yours, etc.,
