Sir, – Over a week ago, on Wednesday of last week, I rang Dublin City Council and reported a serious water leak on Fitzwilliam Place in the centre of the city. As of June 14th, the leak has yet to be fixed. Aside from my call, council staff in refuse vans traverse this route several times every day.
The city council’s website in its water services section tells us that “water is a precious resource and should be used sparingly”. As the Yanks might say, go figure! – Yours, etc,
