Madam, - I would like to convey the palpable feeling of political frustration among the people of the south east region at the latest example in a history of governmental inaction in the region - the scaling down or closure of the WIT Music School.
Having waited many years for the mere plans for a second bridge in Waterford City, with no forthcoming resolution on the provision of public radiotherapy, inadequate national infrastructure and trepidation over decisions on university status, the Government is now once more silent with regard to another demonstration of negligence of the region.
Although both CIT and DIT music schools have recently received increased levels of funding, it seems the south-east is to be content with the scaling down of its 850-student school.
I wait patiently for the Minister's first comment on the matter.- Yours, etc.,
NIALL CROWLEY,
Crescent Drive,
Hillview,
Waterford.
