Sir, – According to the Irish Fiscal Advisory Council, the Government's "rainy-day" fund has been watered down (Eoin Burke Kennedy, Business, November 28th).
Far from me to pour cold water on the whole idea, but one wonders what else one might expect.
That the rainy day fund dried up perhaps? – Yours, etc,
