Madam, - In response to various letters and columns discussing the hijab, may I suggest a minimum age of 16 or 18 for displaying religious belief. If children can be judged unprepared to assume most citizens' rights, then perhaps devoting one's life to a religion should not be a choice made by the immature. - Yours, etc,
