Sir, – Stephen Joyce feels insulted by the Central Bank’s Joyce commemorative coin (Front Page, April 13th). So, an Irish State institution didn’t consult properly on a matter; researched it inadequately; made an error in its delivery; demonstrated poor taste in its quality and issuance; failed to respond to related communications and, too late, regrets these actions while at the same time justifying them. Why is Mr Joyce taking such customary practice so personally? To quote, I hope properly: “Allow me, ladies, to blow my nose”. – Yours, etc,
JOHN STEPHENSON,
