What’s left?

Sir, – One of the pleasures of a Saturday is reading the Irish Times Weekend Review section. Another is counting the number of references to the "hard left" in Stephen Collins's "Inside Politics" column.

Last Saturday I counted two, including the delicious, “hard-left Trotskyite”.

I live for the day when I see a “hard-right” reference in his column. This is surprising, as this Government has been in power for four years now. – Yours, etc,
