Sir, - I wish to express my disappointment at the decision by your paper to apparently drop the What's On listings which appeared on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
This was a much anticipated guide to cultural, heritage and educational type activities taking place in the capital and, indeed, throughout the country.
Equally it was a facility appreciated by individuals and groups organising events such as talks, walks and readings who would not normally have access to advertising budgets to proclaim word of their events.
The kinds of listings that appear in the The Ticket supplement are quite different in character.
I hope that The Irish Times will consider resuming publication of these listings - a feature which, I might add, encouraged one to purchase your paper as opposed to other publications on the days in question. - Yours, etc.,
