Madam, - I was deeply saddened to see farmers protesting at the reintroduction of white-tailed eagles to Killarney.
The view of these creatures as a "pest" is what wiped them out in the first place. The fact that this rhetoric has survived into the 21st century indicates a dismal failure of our education system.
