Who can afford to rent these days?

Sir, – I have read the article "Converted Army barracks offers rentals with a difference" (Property, June 1st). It seems the difference is that no ordinary working class family could afford them, with a two-bed apartment renting from €2,250 to €2,400 per month and a three-bedroom from €3,000 to €3,400. No young garda recruit, primary teacher, or nurse on the new starting salaries could even afford the rent for a one-bed apartment.

I know that Britain is leaving the EU but do we now have London rental prices? – Yours, etc,
