Madam, - Daphne Pochin Mould (June 3rd) invites us to weep for "the poor Roman Catholic women" who cannot be priests and to come and witness women presiding effectively at liturgies in Anglican and Lutheran churches (June 3rd).

I weep to think that the author of The Rock of Truth should have so parted company with Father Augustine of Fort Augustus as to have forgotten that there is nothing in either of these churches which adequately corresponds to the Catholic understanding of either Eucharist or priesthood. Comparison is therefore vain.
