Sir, - I was born and reared on the Waterford side of the South Tipperary/Waterford border at Carrick-on-Suir, and have lived on the memories of the 1959 All-Ireland Final, which I attended as a 17-year-old.
The teams'performance in Cork on Sunday frees us at last from boring our friends with the stories of Tom Cheasty, Philly Grimes, Seamus Power and Co. We now have a new bunch of heroes to talk about.
