A chara, - I fully endorse Andy Pollak's excellent article (Opinion, September 4th) on Ireland and the Commonwealth.Could I add that in a sporting context the four-yearly Commonwealth Games comprise athletes from such diverse countries as Canada, Jamaica, Kenya, South Africa, India, Scotland and Wales.What are we afraid of?
