SOUTH AFRICA, who have made it plain they want to win all five of their tour matches in France, get their first opportunity against the French Barbarians in Brive this afternoon.
"We face two Tests and three, other matches and our goal is simply to win them all," said: South African coach Andre Markgraaff.
The Springboks arrived in, France direct from Argentina, where they looked impressive" in winning both Tests against the Pumas, but with the first Test in Bordeaux on November 30th, the French Barbarians will be looking to land a psychological blow and repeat their achievement in 1992 when they beat the Springboks in Lille. The inclusion of All Black flanker Josh Kronfeld will lift the home side.
Markgraaf also called on northern hemisphere referees to enforce the new tackling law to allow teams to play attacking rugby. "Even against the Pumas we couldn't get quick ball because the tacklers weren't getting away from the tackled man and ball" the Springbok coach said of last week's international.
