Tom Brabazon (54) has been elected to the Dáil for Dublin Bay North on his first attempt. Married with four children, he is a solicitor running his own practice.
A Dublin City councillor for the past 21 years he served as lord mayor of Dublin from 2020 to 2021, getting involved in local politics after the dual mandate ended and TDs had to resign their council seats.
He represents the Donaghmede local electoral area and is chairman of Dublin City Council’s economic and enterprise strategic policy committee and the joint policing committee.
He attended Belgrove National School, Chanel College and Scoil Mhuire Marino. He is a graduate of UCD with a degree in commerce and also attended the Law Society of Ireland to qualify as a solicitor.
A Gaeilgeoir, passionate about the Irish language, he is also an avid sports fan, particularly of Dublin GAA, having played football for Parnells GAA Club in Coolock.
