Lorraine Davidson, working from the Audi Athlone at Michael Moore Car Sales as a Senior Service Advisor, is one of Audi’s top performing recruits and a leader in her field.
Starting her working life in the hospitality industry, Lorraine decided her skills were better placed in the motor trade. She began working as a receptionist in her local dealership and quickly moved up the ranks taking on the role of Senior Service Advisor in Audi Athlone, a position which she has held for two years.
Her day to day job involves managing workloads in the service department, dealing with customers with regard to technical issues and resolving their problems.
This year Lorraine was part of a team for the Audi Twin Cup, an initiative which recognises excellence in customer service, which reached the national final. The team will now partake in the Audi Twin Cup World Championships in Vienna this September.
Lorraine attends training events in Munich on an annual basis to learn and experience new Audi products. She continues to grow her talent within the company and aims to be Service Manager in the network over the next number of years.
Audi Ireland @AudiIreland, recently launched their #WomenDrivers campaign. This began by the brand releasing a number of tweets, highlighting their advocacy initiative- #WomenDrivers.
The phrase 'women drivers’ on social media is a misconception, where negative stereotypes are being made against female drivers. Through the use of clever tweets Audi Ireland wanted to grab the attention of twittersphere.
Aine Smyth, Marketing and Communications Manager at Audi Ireland said; ‘We at Audi pride ourselves on being a very progressive brand. When it comes to #WomenDrivers we are no different – Lorraine and her work for Audi embodies what it means to be a #WomanDriver.
She continued; ‘Lorraine is part of a long line highly talented and successful women who work within the company. Michelle Mouton was the first female to ever win a major world rally championship event. She is still the last woman to compete in top-level rallying. Currently one of our chief race engineers; Leena Gade, was the first female race engineer to win the Le Mans 24 Hours for the Audi Sport Factory Team. ‘
