In what has been another hectic year in the Irish construction industry, the recently-held Building and Architect of the Year Awards was a welcome opportunity for those in the sector to reflect on some of the fantastic work that can be seen throughout the country.
Celebrating its second year, the Awards recognise those who contributed to the design and construction of some of the most forward-thinking and innovative builds in recent memory. Categories ranged from retail to educational centres, offices and housing, and included both new builds and refurbishments, with 18 awards handed out in total.
Once again, the Awards brought together some the most prestigious names in the industry. Speaking to their experience, sponsor Zutec reflected on their evening. Their regional marketing manager (EMEA) Nessa Lowry, said, “The Building and Architect of the Year Awards was a wonderful event for Zutec to highlight our brand to some of the key players in the Irish construction industry. The event was well organised and it was a pleasure to be involved in celebrating the successes of the leaders in the industry.”
The event attracted sponsorship from seven different companies, Kingspan, with their marketing manager, Pamela McCabe, explaining why they’re involved: “The Building and Architect of the Year Awards is a significant awards ceremony which highlights and honours the best in the business. For Kingspan Insulation it is a great opportunity to network and acknowledge the incredible work carried out by Ireland’s leading architecture establishments.”
