The shortlist has been announced for the Facilities Management Awards 2020 with this year receiving a record-breaking number of entries from companies across the country.
The event will celebrate those in the community who have excelled over the past 12 months working on standout projects and providing world-class service in Ireland.
O’Dwyer Real Estate were nominated on this year’s shortlist, Siobhan O’Dwyer, MSCSI MRICS (CEO), commented on the achievement; “The Facilities Management awards recognise excellence in the industry which is why O’Dwyer Real Estate Management are delighted to be shortlisted for Property Management Company of the Year.”
Shortlisted across three different categories, An Post’s facilities and sustainability manager, John Smith, commented on the importance of their nomination in the Excellence in Sustainability category; “The sustainability team in An Post are delighted (as a Sustainable Development Goal Champion) to be shortlisted for the Excellence in Sustainability category, among others, and now to be recognised by our peer group as being among the top companies in the country is a fantastic achievement.”
Sodexo were shortlisted in two categories for their achievements in cleaning and client service providing. Aidan Walker, client relationship director, said; “Being shortlisted for both Cleaning Service Provider of the Year and Client & Service Provider Partnership of the Year is an accomplishment in itself, and we are excited for an evening of networking and celebration at the Facilities Management Awards 2020.”
Tork, an Essity brand, is title sponsor of the Facilities Management Awards for the second year. An independent panel of recognised expert judges, drawn from academia, business and broader related sectors determined each winner of the night.
On the judging panel is Eileen Salmon, EMEA workplace programme lead, LinkedIn, commented on the judging process: “The Facilities Management Awards are an excellent way to recognise Best Practice and Innovation in our profession. The work of many workplace and FM professionals often goes unnoticed and only comes under the spotlight when something goes wrong or when a new office opens – as if by magic.
