Release of Pharma Industry Awards shortlist recognises innovators

Ceremony takes place in the Citywest Hotel, Dublin on Thursday, October 24th

Pharma Industry professionals will gather from all over the country for the big night on October 24th

Top pharma industry players are competing in over 23 categories, hoping to lift one of the award titles and trophies from the awards and earn recognition from their peers for their achievements over the past 12 months.

Entries have risen 15 per cent this year, with a significant increase in attendees forecasted for the 2019 programme.

From R&D teams, process to formulation engineers and even college start-ups; the most exciting names in the pharmaceutical industry will gather for the most important night in Ireland’s FDI calendar.

Jazz Pharmaceuticals has been nominated for the Research & Development award, Robert Iannone, M.D, M.S.C.E, executive vice president, research  & development, commented on the achievement: “At Jazz, we’re dedicated to creating life-changing medicines for people with limited or no options and we greatly appreciate being recognised as a shortlist nominee. The nomination is a testament to the hard work of our employees around the world, especially in both our locations in Ireland.”

Noel Heaney, general manager at Bristol-Myers Squibb Cruiserath Biologics, revealed the impact being shortlisted twice had on their team: “We are proud to be included on the shortlist for two categories in this year’s awards. This is not only a testament to the highly talented team that we have built in Cruiserath, but it also reinforces the importance of the work we do each day for our patients across the globe.”

Nominated across five categories, Pfizer has made its mark on this year’s awards. Julie O’Brien, organisation and operational excellence leader at Pfizer, commented on their success: “The broad range of categories that we are nominated in is a testament to our fantastic team here at Pfizer Ringaskiddy and reflects the enormous efforts of our dedicated colleagues in helping to change patients’ lives.”
