Shortlist announced for 2019 Fit Out Awards

Industry will gather for awards ceremony in the Clayton Hotel Burlington Road, Dublin on Wednesday, November 27th

Following the announcement of this year’s shortlisted submissions, the fit out community – comprising designers, specifiers, contractors, suppliers and consultants – will gather at the 2019 Fit Out Awards.

The shortlist reflects the full range of fit out skills, crafts and processes required to deliver fit out at the highest level, as exhibited by the shortlisted entries.

RKD Architects were shortlisted in the Excellence in Collaboration category and Fit Out Project of the Year – Medium Office, their director, Justin Treacy, commented on the achievement: “We’re excited and proud to see our work and collaborations shortlisted across multiple categories in this year’s awards, including over 500,000sqft of transformational projects delivered for our wonderful clients. This is welcome recognition of the collegial way we work with our clients, design teams, contractors, suppliers and many others.”

Reddy Architecture + Urbanism were shortlisted for Project of the Year – International. managing director, Rob Keane, said: “Reddy Architecture + Urbanism’s design ethos is characterised by collaboration, innovation and client focus, with a common purpose to design great buildings and places that enhance the lives of those who use them. To be recognised for our work across a broad range of categories shows us that we’ve continued to adapt in response to our clients’ evolving needs over the past twelve months.”

This year’s event is sponsored by Etag. This year’s panel of judges comprised 19 experts drawn from the build and design community from Ireland and abroad as submissions reached an all-time high.

Angela Connolly, president, The Interiors Association and creative director, Conbu Interior Design, was one of the judging co-ordinators for the awards and commented on the judging process: “It’s a great pleasure to be part of the judging panel of the prestigious Fit Out Awards again this year. Looking at the shortlist, it is already clear that each of the judges will have a difficult time choosing winners from the quality of entries alone.”
