The Irish Times is Ireland’s leading independent and trusted source of news and information - in print and online.  We are hiring for our future.  As part of our ongoing marketing development, an opportunity has arisen for a Marketing Executive to join our Marketing Department.

The role will involve promoting The Irish Times across all platforms and assisting in the development and execution of brand strategy and marketing campaigns. For the person appointed to this role, the key focus will be to increase readership of Irish Times content both online and in the newspaper while building audience engagement.

Working closely with the Head of Marketing, the successful candidate will develop, manage and implement marketing plans including brand, digital edm and tactical promotions. One of the keys tasks of this role will be to provide marketing support for key editorial-led initiatives and projects and reporting on marketing campaign outcomes against agreed targets and objectives using standard reporting tools.

A key aspect of this role will be to manage and develop sponsorships and events from start to finish while acting as a liaison with external agencies, including creative, online and media buying and the management of budgets.

The person appointed will have at least three to five years experience with strong brand marketing knowledge and hands-on experience across all of the key marketing functions. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent people skills and have a capacity to multi-task and work in a fast moving environment.
