MyBnk provides teenagers with financial and enterprise education directly through schools and youth organisations, reaching over 50,000 young people in the UK and around Europe. In the UK, 90 per cent of the population has never received any money management education, while nearly half of 16- to 25-year-old’s say debt is their biggest fear. MyBnk seeks to address this information gap and runs educational programmes, including Uni Dosh, a workshop that readies school leavers for the financial demands of going to college, and Back My Business, a school-based enterprise experience, where young people are tasked with creating businesses and competing for zero per cent interest loans. In Ireland, MyBnk has partnered with Foróige’s Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship programme, and will reach 1,500 students in September. They are looking to grow both within the network and with new partners.
