The Irish Times has some very good news for boys and girls this Christmas! Dr Anthony Fauci – a leading American expert in infectious diseases – has declared that Santa is immune from Covid-19. "Santa is exempt from this because Santa, of all the good qualities, has a lot of good innate immunity," he said recently.
Not only that, but we are bringing you a direct line to Santa once again this year with the return of the exclusive Irish Times Santa Podcast. It’s back on Monday, 21st December, in association with Opel.
This is an incredibly busy time for Santa, Mrs Claus, the elves and all the reindeer as they prepare for Christmas Eve, but intrepid Irish Times journalist Conor Pope has managed to secure an exclusive sit-down chat with none other than Santa Claus himself.
“If there is one thing that is absolutely certain in a year full of uncertainty it is that Santa Claus will still come to all the boys and girls in Ireland – at least those not on his naughty list – on Christmas Day,” Conor Pope says.
You’ve got a chance to get involved in the podcast because we want our readers and all the boys and girls out there to submit a question they’d love Santa to answer.
“Do you have any questions you would like us to ask him? Would you like to know how fast his sleigh moves? Or what is his favourite snack, really? Or who is his favourite reindeer? Or what does he do when he is not making toys? You ask the questions and we will find the answers in what promises to be the most festive, jolliest podcast of the whole year,” Conor says.
Whatever it us you'd like to know, simply email santapodcast@irishtimes.com for all details on how to enter and T&Cs.
The deadline for submission is Sunday, 13th December – so be quick!
