MUNSTER COLLEGES SHC (HARTY CUP) QUARTER-FINALS: St Caimin's 0-13 St Colman's 0-9ST CAIMIN'S, Shannon, made history in Cashel yesterday as nine points from Patrick Sheahan secured a place in the Harty Cup semi-finals for the first time.
The St Caimin’s win was built on a solid defence while Sheahan punished any St Colman’s indiscretions at the other end.
St Caimin’s led by 0-8 to 0-5 at the break. Although the Fermoy side, inspired by Darren Tobin, cut the gap back to the minimum (0-10 to 0-9) with 11 minutes remaining St Caimin’s hit back with three unanswered points.
