Earliest golfing memory?
The most memorable, Greg Norman losing a six-shot led at the Masters.

First victory?
The Captain's Prize 2001, Ashbourne.

First time to break 90?
Probably in Royal Tara in 1990, I switched from the hurling grip that day - Noel Daly told me to change or I would win nothing, and he is a Meathman, I went around in 88!

Last bit of golf equipment you bought?
Possibly a set of Mizunu 33 two years ago.

Last time you took a golf cart. Where and why?
Over in Spain in Murcia three weeks ago, because I had to! Ken Morgan, the jockey, was with me that day.

Last time you muttered an obscenity on the course and why?
One of many drives out of bounds recently!

Which major would you like to attend and why?
I would love to go to Augusta, it looks superb and has so much history.

Ideal fourball. Who and where?
Tiger Woods, it has to be him. Muhammad Ali is a legend so I would not mind spending a few hours with him, and Seán Kelly the cyclist, a guy I always admired.

One last round on earth, where would it be?
I always liked the Heritage GC, so maybe there.

Dress sense. Davis Love or Ian Poulter?
Poulter, just for a laugh

Is a Titleist ProV1 worth the expense?
If you don't lose it, yes. I like it, but I don't always use it. I would probably say no for high handicap and yes for low handicaps, who won't lose it.

Best golf club food. Where?
Ashbourne GC, of course! Steak on Hot Stone is the new speciality . . .

140 yards out from the green. Flat calm. What's in your hand?
9-iron.

Favourite club in times of trouble?
4-iron.

Parkland or links?
Links is a real challenge, mostly parkland for me though, there is generally no wind to contend with.

Must see golfing destination?
Portugal, some great courses and great weather.

Hidden gem?
The Heritage again, although it isn't really a hidden gem. Headford GC in Meath is also lovely.

One mulligan in life?
I would love to play football all over again, you learn so much playing it is a pity you cannot start again when you are finished playing. I love watching football but it isn't the same. In golf, last year in the captain's prize in Ashbourne I was two shots up going into the final nine which were delayed to the evening. I could not play the last nine as I had to go to the Rod Stewart concert which was a present from the kids but I would have loved to have finished and win the prize again . . .
