Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe: Windya, owned by the Aga Khan and trained by Jean-Claude Rouget, has been supplemented at a cost of €60,000 for Sunday's Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe.

The filly was the only horse added at the latest confirmation stage, leaving a maximum possible field of 16 for the Longchamp showpiece.

The winner of three of her six career starts, she is expected to be used as a pacemaker for Shawanda, who also runs in the colours of the Aga Khan.

Spanish Don, who sprang one of the biggest shocks in the history of the Cambridgeshire when winning at 100 to 1 12 months ago, is among a maximum 30 horses declared for the big handicap at Newmarket on Saturday.

David Elsworth's charge came home by neck from Take A Bow when landing the Totesport-sponsored prize last season.

Drawn three that day, he will be in stall 23 this time and is 20 to 1 with the sponsors for a repeat success.

Ashkal Way, who was heavily supported on Wednesday after proving his well-being following an injury scare and with the news he will be ridden by Kieren Fallon, is drawn 15.

The sponsors have the Brian Ellison-trained gelding and Pedrillo, trained by Mark Prescott, as 8 to 1 joint-favourites.

Pedrillo, the mount of Jean-Pierre Guillambert, is drawn close to Ashkal Way in stall 13.

"Ashkal Way and Pedrillo are our two worst losers at the moment," said totesport spokesman Damian Walker.

Of the other major contenders, Roger Charlton's Blue Monday is drawn high in stall 28, while Paul Webber's Kew Green will be on the other side of the track in stall two.

However, several leading fancies missed the cut for the first leg of the autumn double.

They included Michael Stoute's Rohanni, who had been as low as 11 to 1, as well as 14 to 1 shots Unshakable and Torinmoor.

Real Quality and Mutawaffer are the two reserves, while the first horse to be eliminated was the Mark Johnston-trained Royal Island.

Johnston's Sound Breeze also missed the cut but the Middleham trainer will be represented by Crosspeace and Nero's Return.

Totesport have announced they will be paying out on the first five places.

Walker added: "We will be paying out on the first five places. The last time we did that was in the Grand National when Carrie Ford rode Forest Gunner into fifth place. It cost half a million. We will be hoping for a better result in the Cambridgeshire."

BETTING: (Totesport Cambridgeshire): 8-1 Ashkal Way, Pedrillo, 9-1 Blue Monday, Kew Green, 16-1 Another Bottle, Crosspeace, Momtic, My Paris, Realism, 20-1 Cimyla, Evaluator, Royal Prince, Spanish Don, 25-1 bar.
