JAMES MORAN had a great chance in the final minute to give Limerick champions, Ahane, victory in an entertaining Munster Club SHC game at Limerick Gaelic grounds.

His effort just failed and a draw was a fitting result. Sean O'Connor had the opening point for Ahane but Toomevara then took control and hit four points without reply.

The sides were level at half time with Johnny Morrissey cracking in a superb goal for Ahane two minutes before the break.

Once again Toomevara went four points clear in the second half thanks mainly to free-taker Tommy Dunne who contributed eight of his side's points.

Justin Cotterell, the Toomevara goalkeeper, brought off a number of fine saves and must have been disappointed that his forwards squandered so many scoring opportunities.
