Shannon make two changes from the side that beat Young Munster in the Munster Cup final last weekend for the visit of Garryowen. Internationals Peter Stringer and Anthony Foley return in place of Cormac O'Loughlin and Redmond Collins repectively. John Hayes and Mick Galwey have been listed among the replacements.

The north Dublin club have made four changes from the side which lost to Terenure in the Leinster Cup final for their clash with Buccaneers. Dara McElligott comes into the centre, Gary Kavanagh is preferred to Ronan O'Reilly at scrumhalf, while New Zealander Ben Giffing and Padraig Lynn come into the pack.
