SATURDAY/Cork Constitution v Clontarf Temple Hill: To tip a Dublin club to prevail at Temple Hill is a precarious move but this is a genuine chance for the unbeaten Clontarf to really lay down the gauntlet to the other contenders in the AIB League.

Con have had a shaky start to the season but they will have targeted this match as a chance to launch their challenge. However, Clontarf travel south with a strong squad as only Dave Hewitt is absent on international sevens duty.

Last three matches: Cork Con - LWL; Clontarf - WWW.

Referee: Gareth Doyle (Ulster).

Verdict: Away win.

Dungannon v Lansdowne Stevenson Park

After victory over Belfast Harlequins on the first day of the season things have gradually deteriorated for Dungannon, making today's match the ideal chance to put things back on track.

Its importance is accentuated by the knowledge that whoever loses will become bogged down in the relegation mire.

Lansdowne have beefed up their pack in recent weeks by adding Christian Kos and Hugh Gorrie but a lot will depend on the form, and availability, of Dungannon's Irish under-21 outhalf Gareth Steenson.

Last three matches: Dungannon - LLW; Lansdowne - WLL

Referee: Ger English (Limerick).

Verdict: Home win.

SUNDAY

Galwegians v Shannon Crowley Park

After winning the Munster senior league final last week, Shannon will most likely continue their winning ways and in turn reel in those above them in tomorrow's encounter which was rearranged due to Connacht's match against Montpellier at the Sportsground.

Last three matches: Galwegians - LLD; Shannon - LWW.

Referee: Alan McDowell (Ulster).

Verdict: Away win.
