Considering Laois had 11 points to spare on today's opponents when they met in the Leinster final, their progress to the semi-finals seems a formality. It's at that point they can begin to make a genuine push at becoming a serious force in the women's game.

The defending champions are beginning to find their stride and with last year's All-Ireland finalists, Armagh, beaten by Tyrone it will take a new team to deny them the three in a row. Dublin don't appear equipped for the task quite yet. Mayo remain a team to fear and they are waiting in the last four.
