Sixteen clubs have won awards under the Pitch and Putt Union of Ireland development awards scheme. The gold awards for 2001 go to Collins (Cork), Deerpark (Killarney), ESB (Cork), Kilbeggan (Westmeath), Lucan (Dublin), Royal Meath (Clonee), St Brigid's (Kilcullen) and Shandon (Dublin). Trim (Co Meath) is the only club to receive a silver award, while bronze awards went to Bellewstown (Meath), Bruff (Limerick), CYMC/LC (Dublin), Glenville (Tallaght, Dublin), Millhouse (Roscrea), Ryston (Newbridge) and Seapoint (Termonfeckin, Co Louth).
