Friday night will be a special one at The Heath golf club as the Co Laois club celebrates its best year ever in inter-club competitions. Any club would be proud of a year which featured an All-Ireland crown, two Leinster titles and a midland League, and two Laois titles were annexed as well. The J B Carr team won the All-Ireland and gathered the Leinster and Laois titles on the way. The Jimmy Bruen team won the Leinster crown and were the first team from The Heath to qualify for the Bulmers All-Ireland finals where they claimed the runners-up spot. The club's women topped off a great year for the club by winning the Midland League and the Laois Trophy.

Presentations will be made to all on Friday next at 8.0 p.m. The celebrations are expected to go on long into the night.
