Frankie Dettori registered a seasonal century for the eighth year in a row as Teggiano obliged in the opening event at Newbury yesterday.

The Italian did not reach the 100 until September 4 last year and underlined here that his appetite for winners remains unabated.

Teggiano quickened in good style to seal a one and a half length verdict over Femme Fatale.

Frankie Dettori's mount is the sole British challenger in a field that has cut up to just six after yesterday's final declaration stage.

Dubai Millennium was a bitterly disappointing Vodafone Derby favourite but bounced back when winning the Prix Eugene Adam over a mile and a quarter at Maison-Leffitte last month.

Sendawar (Gerald Mosse) is likely to start favourite even though the possibility of testing ground led to doubts earlier this week that he would run.

Sendawar was the brilliant winner of the French 2000 Guineas, and then gave Royer Dupre his first win in Britain with an awesome display in Royal Ascot's St James's Palace Stakes.

In today's Group Two Prix Guillaume D'Ornano over a mile and a quarter Commander Collins (Gerald Mosse) gets on the comeback trail.

The classy Peter Chapple-Hyam-trained colt is having his first run since flopping in the Sagitta 2000 Guineas.
