CHARLIE SWAN, who rode winners for Michael O'Brien and Willie Mullins at Cork on Saturday, successfully teamed up with both trainers again at Roscommon yesterday, where Christy Roche and Kevin Manning, the leading riders on the flat this season, were also on the mark.
Swan joined up with O'Brien to win the Villiger Hurdle with the well supported Taklif, who cruised to a five length success over Omar. He then partnered Padashpan to a comfortable win in the Frank Hannon Memorial Chase.
Padashpan set trainer Willie Mullins a dilemma by his success in the conditions chase, leaving the trainer unsure of what to do next with the multi talented gelding.
He is capable of running well on the flat, over hurdles and over fences, and I really do not know what to do next. I will definitely be looking towards the Galway Festival, and while he will be entered for the GPT Amateur Handicap and the Galway Hurdle, he will probably run in the Plate."
