Australia kept their 100 per cent record intact at the World Cup with an emphatic 215-run win over New Zealand in a Super Eights match last night.
Matthew Hayden struck his third century of the World Cup to help take Australia to 348 for six before the holders bowled out New Zealand for 133.
Australia achieved the biggest World Cup victory margin between two test teams, eclipsing England's 202-run win over India in 1975 in a 60 overs match.
Hayden's 103 made him the third batsman to hit three centuries in a single World Cup as the Aussies won the toss and hit 348 to six in Grenada.
Hayden also reached 580 runs for the tournament, just 93 runs behind Sachin Tendulkar's 2003 World Cup record.
Brad Hogg's four for 29 saw the Kiwis bowled out for 133 in the 26th over, with Peter Fulton last man out for 62.
Both teams had already qualified for separate semi-finals next week and could meet again in the final in Barbados on April 28th. Australia play South Africa in the St Lucia semi-final, with New Zealand facing Sri Lanka in Jamaica.
Australia had a score to settle after being humbled 3-0 in a one-day series in New Zealand in February.
And they also wanted to keep their unbeaten run in World Cups, stretching back to the middle stages of the 1999 tournament.
