ALLIANZ HURLING LEAGUE DIVISION TWO Antrim 1-15 Kerry 0-12:NEWLY-PROMOTED Kerry found Antrim too hot to handle in the final quarter at Austin Stack Park, Tralee, yesterday.
Antrim had three frees, two from Karl Stewart and one from Neil McManus with Liam and Mikey Boyle replying for Kerry before the visitors struck for a crucial 19th-minute goal flicked home by PJ O’Connell.
Kerry dominated from this point until half-time. Points from Mikey Boyle, Darragh O’Connell (two frees), Adrian Royle, Aidan Boyle and Darran Dineen saw them lead 0-8 to 1-4 at the interval.
The introduction of subs Shane McNaughton (who notched three points) and Colm McFall swung the game in Antrim’s favour as they hit five unanswered points.
