Barry Archer (The Hills) has been recalled to Ireland's 13-man squad for next week's two one-day matches against Zimbabwe, on Wednesday and Thursday, at Castle Avenue. He will take the place of Ryan Haire (North Down) who has had to cry off.
Neil Doak (Lisburn), who was called up after a three-year absence from international cricket, is available for the Thursday match only, but so far no other player has been drafted in for Wednesday's game.
Play on the second day of the second Test at Trent Bridge was abandoned without a ball being bowled yesterday because of a rain-saturated outfield.
