Arellano advertised the training skills of Jim Bolger when completing a hat-trick in the space of just over a fortnight by landing the £20,000 Lake District Handicap at Ballinrobe yesterday.

The Erins Isle gelding needed a strong ride from Kevin Manning in this nine-furlong event, keeping on gamely under pressure in the straight to deny Sarraaf by half a length.
