FOLLOWING the sterling efforts of UCD's Ag Week to raise funds for cot death research last week, UCD Arts Day kicks off on Friday morning in aid of the Simon Community, further contributing to the impression of UCD students as saints among men and women.
At 10 a.m. cholesterol levels will rise dramatically with the Big Breakfast, with Nobel laureate Seamus Heaney in attendance to help digest those difficult rasher rinds. At 1 p.m. Brendan O'Carroll will bring his own brand of family entertainment to the campus, followed by hypnotist Zac Powers at 3 p.m. and a range of bands performing in the college from noon til night.
Meanwhile, students in the arts concourse will be offered free haircuts and makeovers. Naturally, we applaud this measure, since people have been calling for something to be done about UCD arts students for years.
It's not all fun though there is a Grease themed karaoke planned. You have been warned.
