There will be four Irish athletes in action today when the athletics competitions begin at the World Student Games in Beijing.

Robert Daly and Paul McKee will be involved in the 400metres. James Nolan (1500 metres) will be anxious to finish his season with a medal.

Julie Douglas came last in the 50-metres freestyle final last night, finishing in a disappointing time of 26:86.

Emma Robinson could only manage a time of 33:20 in her 50-metres Breaststroke semi-final finishing 11th overall.
