Phil Babb will face a disciplinary committee at his club, Sporting Portugal, after been charged with criminal damage in Dublin, coach Augusto Inacio said.
"Obviously he will be subject to a disciplinary inquiry," Augusto Inacio told sports daily Record. "But in no way will we abandon him."
"That is why I am standing by him in these difficult times that he is going through," he added after a training session attended by defender Babb.
Meanwhile, Norwegian midfielder Erik Mykland was fined £3,000 yesterday for being drunk in an Oslo bar on Wednesday night in violation of Norwegian Football Federation rules. However, the player will keep his place in the national squad for today's World Cup qualifier against Armenia.
