Last week's Musidora Stakes winner Bahr continues to be the best backed of the 14 Vodafone Oaks contenders who stood their ground at yesterday's forfeit stage.

Cape Verdi heads the list of acceptors for the 14 acceptors for the June 5th Epsom showpiece.

The Godolphin-owned filly, the impressive winner of the Newmarket 1,000 Guineas, has had her options left open, with the possibility of being supplemented on May 30th to take her chance in the Vodafone Derby.

With that in mind punters are backing her Godolphin stablemate, with Corals tightening the flying filly to 11 to 4 from 100 to 30.

The firm also trimmed the odds of the Aidan O'Brien-trained Shahtoush to 12 to 1 from 14 to 1.

The other Irish-trained acceptors are Tarascon and Mempari, who both are expected to run in Sunday's 1,000 Guineas, and Dabaya, who made an impressive winning debut for the Oxx stable in a Navan maiden last week.

All the main contenders were left in yesterday, including Clive Brittain's Cloud Castle, who is also due to run in Sunday's Classic.

There is a supplementary stage for the Oaks on May 29th, at a cost of £15,000.

Oaks acceptors: Bahr, Cape Verdi, Cloud Castle, Dabaya, High And Low, Jibe, La Nuit Rose, Loving Claim, Mempari, Midnight Line, Napoleon's Sister, Putuna, Shahtoush, Tarascon.
